A dystopian surveillance piece portraying mass production of obedient citizens and the suppression of political individuality.

Citizen Factory 1

In a surveillance camera recording, we can observe two employees in blue overalls, working for the state, in a factory where citizens are prefabricated according to the government’s desires. This video, titled “Citizen Factory,” offers a dystopian and unsettling vision of society, where individuals are nothing more than manufactured products, meeting the strict demands of an authoritarian power.

The scene, filmed by a security camera, emphasizes the dehumanizing and controlling aspect of this mass production of compliant citizens, stripped of individuality and free will.

This installation invites us to reflect on the dangers of a society where the state exerts total control over individuals’ lives, transforming them into mere cogs in a state machine.
